You're Gonna Need A Bigger Bowl
After many, many requests of The World’s Best Chili - I thought I’d share the recipe for everyone to create on their own. Now, to be honest…this was a hodge podge of things that I’ve been perfecting for some time and sometimes the ingredients aren’t very accurate (i.e. three splashes of XYZ). Pretty sure splashes isn’t a real “cooking” term; but - who cares! My thought…if you shake in some of the good good, then it’ll make it The World’s Best.
Prep Time: 10 Minutes
Cook Time: 6-8 Hours
1 (14-15oz) Can of Black Beans
1 (14-15oz) Can of Red Beans
1 (14-15oz) Can of Garbanzo Beans
1 (14-15oz) Can of Diced Tomatoes (Green Chili version, sometimes fire roasted is yummy too!)
1 (28 oz) Can of Crushed Tomatoes
1 (8 oz) Can of Tomato Sauce
1 White Onion
1 Package of Ground Turkey
Garlic (I usually use the ones that is already cut up -> like this)
Cheddar Cheese, for garnish
Green Onions or Cilantro for garnish
Chop up a little more than half of the onion, place into a pan with the turkey meat. While the turkey is cooking; bust out your handy dandy crock pot. Start opening the cans and dumping them into the crock pot. Only drain the black and red bean can; all other bean cans can go in with full juice.
Once the turkey is done cooking, place that into the crock pot as well. Give it a good mix with the beans and the turkey. Once its mixed up; start adding the “sauces”; I usually do 5-10 shakes of each of the sauces (Worcestershire, A1 and Hot Sauce). Then after that, I do 2 scoops (medium sized) of the minced garlic. Then, 1 shake of cayenne pepper and then 2 shakes of the chili powder.
Mix it up and then set it on high for 6-8 hours. You might need to add more of something next time or less of something next time. But, I will promise you - you will not regret it! It’s beyond delicious and you will not be let down. Also, its pretty healthy too! Win/Win.
