Influential Woman - Julia Buerger

Influential Woman - Julia Buerger

I've been following and reading the Atlanta Area Moms Blog for a while now; its an amazing way to connect all moms within the city and provide an element of support. After digging into the blog some more I came across Julia and Lauren; both Co-Founders of Atlanta Area Moms Blog and I could not help but love what they represent. They want and have nicely accomplished a support system, educational environment and a community that makes moms feel supported. I cannot tell you how many of their blogs, event ideas and guides have helped me through this first year of motherhood. Not only are they business owners, they are moms as well - and like us all...they juggle; yet they inspire me and other moms to be the best moms. Love me some, Mom-Boss-Ladies!

...That is why; Julia, is this weeks - Most Influential Woman

Name: Julia Buerger

Profession: Co-Founder & Owner, Atlanta Area Moms Blog | Merchant, The Home Depot

Quick Background: Julia is committed to empowering moms to find their voice, live their best life, and raise children who know how to work hard, dream big, and be good to one another. She also works full time in retail and is dedicated to giving back and growing our community. Julia and her husband are both originally from Louisville, Kentucky, and moved to the Atlanta Area with their jobs in 2008.  They have been together since the summer before Julia’s Senior year in college and are staunchly house divided when basketball season comes around for UK vs. UL but can both agree on Atlanta United!  They have three children together {two girls, one boy} and recently moved to the East Cobb area.  Julia loves spending time outside and enjoys jogging, cycling, and playing with her family.

2. What is one characteristic a person needs to succeed? Trust.  You must be able to trust yourself, trust your support network, and trust your path.

9. What is your favorite question to ask? How did you meet?

10. Biggest piece of advice to new moms? Remember your partner is new to this too.  Take advantage of the partnership and encourage them to help you.  They will not do it just like you, but they need to learn at same pace.

11. Biggest piece of advice to a working mom? Be ruthless with your calendar.  Say yes to what matters but do not feel guilty saying no (for now in some cases). Then read Samantha Ettus The Pie Life
